Accessibility Statement

Last Updated: January 2, 2026. MyWritingAssessment is committed to digital accessibility for all users — students, faculty, and administrators with disabilities.

Standards

Working toward WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance, covering visual impairments, hearing impairments, motor impairments, and cognitive/learning disabilities.

Current Features

Keyboard navigation for core functionality. Form labels for screen reader compatibility. Color contrast meeting ratio requirements. Responsive design across screen sizes and zoom levels. Focus indicators for keyboard navigation. Alt text on images.

Ongoing Efforts

Conducting accessibility audits. Working toward a VPAT (Voluntary Product Accessibility Template). Integrating accessibility testing into development. Addressing issues as identified. Contact us if you need VPAT documentation for procurement.

Accommodations

Extended Time: No built-in time limits, allowing students the time they need. Assistive Technology: Writing interface designed for screen readers and other assistive technologies. Contact us for specific accommodation needs not currently supported.

Known Limitations

Some complex analytics visualizations may not be fully screen-reader accessible (data export available as alternative). Some third-party components may have limitations outside our control.

Report accessibility issues to support@mywritingassessment.com (subject: Accessibility Feedback). Include description, page/feature, assistive technology used, and browser/OS. We respond within 5 business days. For institutional procurement, we provide: accessibility feature summary, roadmap, completed HECVAT, and VPAT (in progress).
